Create photo icons with your favorite album covers directly onto the iPhone Home screen. Enjoy DisCover at the gym, while jogging, in the car...every time you don’t want to fumble through menus and options in the iPod application.

Or simply because it is cool to see your favorite album artwork as an icon on your iPhone screen.

When you select the artist and album you need to send the artwork thumbnail to Safari in order to create the icon.

This step requires an Internet connection and can't be avoided because there is no other way to create icons in the Home screen.

Tap the "Create Photo Icon" button and wait a few seconds. A web page with instructions will appear. Follow them in order to create the icon.

Create your album icon in 3 steps:
  1. Tap the + button in the bottom of Safari window.
  2. Tap Add to Home Screen button in the action sheet. If this button is not present you may need to remove some web clips or apps from your Home screen. There is a limit.
  3. Finally, enter the name you want and press Add button. If the album name is too long it's better to make it shorter or the icon willtruncate the middle part.

You will see how the new album icon appears in the Home screen.

Repeat the process as many times as you want.

You can have an iPhone screen full of album icons if you like it.

To move around or delete them: Tap and hold your finger on any icon until the icons on your home screen begin to wiggle, then click the "x" in the upper left corner of the icon you wish to remove. While icons are wiggling you can move them to a different location or screen.

Tap the album icon to play it.

The player shows:

The album will play using iPod so you can exit DisCover and keep listening. You can even put your iPhone to sleep and the music keeps playing.

If you start an album icon when there is music playing, it will stop first.
